Guitarist who played with Paul McCartney's group Wings from 1974 to 1977 and who played with One in a Million.
He started playing guitar at the age of eleven under the tutelage of the Shadows' Hank Marvin.
He composed the music to McCartney's their anti-drug song, "Medicine Jar."
His family moved from Glasgow to London to help their son get into the music business.
Pete Townshend was his mentor.
