Benedikt Magnusson

Strongman and powerlifter who set the raw deadlift world record at 1,016 lbs. in 2014. He won back-to-back Iceland's Strongest Man titles in 2003 and 2004.
He began powerlifting at age 16. He was crowned Iceland's Strongest Man four years later, becoming the youngest men ever to earn the title.
He ran his own gym in Iceland called Super Gym.
He is the brother of fellow Iceland's Strongest Man winner Magnús Magnússon. He married Britain's Strongest Woman winner Gemma Taylor, with whom he has a son named Benedikt.
He and Hafpor Júlíus Björnsson are both multiple-time Iceland's Strongest Man winners.
