Jeremy Hansen
Astronaut
Both a Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut and a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force, he received such military honors as the Air Cadet League of Canada Award and the Canadian Forces Decoration.
He graduated from Kingston, Ontario's Royal Military College with degrees in Space Science and Physics.
He was chosen by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to participate as an aquanaut in the Fall, 2014 NEEMO 19 mission.
He grew up on an Ontario farm and attended high school in the Canadian town of Ingersoll. He and his wife became parents to three children.
Like fellow Canadian-born astronaut Dafydd Williams, he worked for both the CSA and NASA.
