Physician and CSA astronaut who became the first non-American to hold a senior management position in NASA.
He did research in emergency medicine.
He flew on two Space Shuttle missions and set the Canadian record for spacewalks at the time he completed his third spacewalk.
He married Cathy Fraser and had two children.
He is the third Canadian to walk in space; Chris Hadfield is the first.
