Founding member of the jazz group The Crusaders who also released the solo album Secrets, which was #77 on the U.K. Albums chart.
Felder and his high school friends started The Crusaders when they were teenagers, beginning first as jazz outfit and evolving into a jazz-rock outfit.
He has worked as a studio musician and played bass on some Motown records.
He was born and raised in Houston, Texas.
He supported many artists, including Joni Mitchell.
