Tenor saxophonist who was a member of Supersax in the 1970s and the protégé of Lennie Tristano.
He was tutored by Tristano and went on to work as a session musician.
He passed away in the middle of a performance.
He and his wife Geraldyne raised two sons.
He was inspired by John Coltrane.
