Swedish Chess master who was the number four player in the world at the peak of his career.
He began competing in Sweden at a very young age.
He led the Swedish Chess Olympiad Team during the 1970s and 1980s and in his later years he has favored Correspondence Chess.
He was born and raised in Vasteras, Sweden.
He was named a chess grandmaster in 1972, a year before Russian player Yuri Balashov.
