He was trained by brothers Jeff and Matt Hardy and got his start wrestling for the independent promotion CWF-Mid Atlantic, based in North Carolina.
He came in at number 60 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated's PWI 500 list in 2016.
He was born in Cameron, North Carolina.
He won the GFW World Tag Team Champion with Curt Hawkins, then known a Bryan Myers.
