Former National Hockey League player with brief stints with the Atlanta Thrashers and Vancouver Canucks who spent the latter part of his career with the Kloten Flyers of Switzerland's National League A.
His professional career began in 1998 with the Jokerit in the Finnish SM-liiga.
He played in the 1999 World Junior Championship for Team Finland and represented his home country at the World Championships in, 2003, 2006, 2009, and 2010.
He was born in Helsinki, Finland.
He was a draft pick of the Atlanta Thrashers in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft along with #1 overall pick that year Patrik Stefan.
