First overall pick of the Atlanta Thrashers in 1999; after recording only 188 points in 455 NHL games, he became known as one of the biggest NHL draft busts of his era.
He began his professional career in 1996 with HC Sparta Praha in the Czech league.
His most productive offensive season in the NHL came during the 2003-04 campaign when he recorded career highs in goals (14), assists (26) and points (40).
He was born in Pribram, Czechoslovakia.
He played alongside Dany Heatley on the Thrashers from 2001 to 2004.
