Subagio Sastrowardoyo

Indonesian author and lyrical poet who is most known for a 1957 collection entitled Simphoni. His other works include Perbatasan and Buku Harian.
He received a graduate degree from Yale University after studying at Cornell University and Gadjah Mada University.
He taught in both Australia and the United States for several years.
He was born into a family in East Java. He died in Jakarta at the age of seventy-one.
He and Chairil Anwar were both twentieth-century Indonesian poets.
