Sophie Pascoe

Paralympic swimmer who took home three gold medals at both the 2008 and 2012 Paralympic Games. In 2013 she won the Halberg Award for Disabled Sportsperson of the Year.
Her left leg was amputated following a lawn-mowing accident in 1995.
At 15 years old, she became the youngest athlete from New Zealand ever to win a Paralympic medal.
She has an older sister named Rebecca.
He and Ellie Simmonds are both well-known female Paralympic swimming champions.
