Sheridan Morley

The grandson of renowned actress Gladys Cooper and the son of actor Robert Morley, he published biographies of both his grandmother and his father. A prominent nonfiction author, he also wrote about the lives of Katharine Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Marlene Dietrich, and other Hollywood stars.
He studied at Oxford University and subsequently worked as a late night news and talk show host.
He wrote a 1983 play called "Noel and Gertie" that focused on the lives of Noel Coward and Gertrude Lawrence.
His second wife was TV producer and critic, Ruth Leon. Previously, he had been married to Margaret Gudejko.
Noel Coward was the godfather of one of Morley's sons.
