Ryan Lott
Composer
Composer and musician known for his experimental style. He is recognized for founding the band Son Lux and is also known for his original compositions for feature films including for Paper Towns in 2015.
With a passion for music and creating unique sounds, he first formed Son Lux in 2007. The following year he released their debut album At War with Walls & Mazes. He began experimenting with different sounds in 2012 when he helped with sound design on Looper, recording noises like a slamming car door and a parking garage and mixing them into the music.
He was featured and profiled in an in depth interview on MTV's website where he discussed his approach and process for creating the music to match John Green's writing in the feature film version of Paper Towns.
He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado but later moved to Los Angeles.
He has created remixes for a variety of different clients including for Owen Pallett, Zach Condon, and Nico Muhly.
