Winger and midfielder who played at the senior level from 1991 to 2010, debuting for Slavia Prague, and finishing his career with Sparta Prague.
He played his youth soccer from 1989-1991 with Sparta Prague, even though he didn't play for them in his senior career until 2008.
He scored 18 goals in 42 appearances for Czech Republic's national team from 1994-2001.
During his career he married Jaroslava Berger, and has two children with her.
While at Aston Villa he convinced captain Gareth Barry to move to Liverpool, which led to his release from the team.
