Pat Fitzgerald
Football Coach
Football player-turned-coach who led the Northwestern Wildcats to their first bowl victory in 64 years at the Orange Bowl in 2013. As a college linebacker, he was twice named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year at Northwestern.
He played at Northwestern from 1993 to 1996 and became the first player ever to win both the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Chuck Bednarik Award twice.
He is known for being an obsessive baseball card collector, amassing a collection of more then 20,000 cards.
He has sons named Ryan, Jack and Brendan.
He and the late Dennis Green, who went on to coach NFL teams like the Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals, both served as head football coach at Northwestern.
