One of the most successful African-American coaches in the NFL, posted a 97-62 record with the Minnesota Vikings.
He started off as an assistant coach in the NCAA, working under the greats like Bill Walsh.
His 1998 Vikings team finished 15-1 in the regular season, and set the NFL record for most points in a single season.
He was orphaned by the time he was thirteen.
He was reportedly in attendance at the historic NBA game when Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points.
