Mischa Maisky

Renowned cellist known for his recordings of works by composers like Beethoven and Bach. He has worked with some of the world's most prominent orchestras, like the London Symphony Orchestra.
He studied at the prestigious Moscow Conservatory and moved to Israel in the early 70's.
He came in sixth place at the Moscow International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1966.
His brother is the late organist Valery Maisky.
