He ran a face painting and airbrush company out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee when Colton appeared on American Idol.
His daughter, Sky Dixon, released her debut EP Enough in September 2016.
His wife's name is Teresa. In addition to Colton, they also have a daughter named Schyler.
His son competed against winner Phillip Phillips on the eleventh season of American Idol.
