Hockey defenseman who signed with the San Jose Sharks organization as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He signed with the Boston Bruins in 2015.
He spent two years at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, scoring 42 points in 67 games.
He made his NHL debut in the 2012-2013 season, leading all rookie defensemen in average shots per game.
He grew up in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia.
He scored his first NHL goal against Semyon Varlamov.
