Canadian right winger known for his years with NHL teams like the Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Colorado Avalanche. He has won gold medals representing Canada at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
He played at Sacred Heart High School in Newmarket, Ontario and won an All-Ontario AAA title with York-Simcoe Express in 2002.
The hearing disorder otosclerosis has left him deaf in his right ear.
His brother Greg is also a hockey player. His father John passed away in 1996.
He was teammates with Canadian centre Ryan O'Reilly in Colorado.
