Japanese-Brazilian singer bossa nova singer best known for albums like 1999's Dream and 2000's Boas Festas.
As a child she spent half of every year in Brazil and the other half in Japan.
She won Grand Prix Gold Disk Awards for Jazz for two consecutive albums: 1990's NaNa and 1991's Menina.
Her father owned the Brazilian restaurant Saci-Perere.
She has performed live with many their musicians, including Antonio Carlos Jobim.
