Scrum-half and stand-off who played internationally for Wales from 1998-2011, where he was often a captain.
He began his career in 1997 with St. Helens, but only played with the team for one year.
He played the bulk of his club career with the Warrington Wolves, where he scored more than 2,500 points from 1998-2013.
He was born in St. Helens, England.
In 2009-2010 he won consecutive Challenge Cups alongside teammate Mickey Higham.
