Swimmer
Pakistani swimmer who became a national sensation at the Pakistan National Games in 2001, winning seven gold medals despite being the youngest swimmer at the Games. In 2008, she received the Fatima Jinnah Youth Icon Award.
She was born in Lahore and began swimming at age three.
She has broken Pakistani records in nearly every women's swimming event, including the 400 meter freestyle and 200 meter individual medley.
She has been coached by her father, former international swimmer Khalid Zaman.
She and English swimmer Adrian Turner both competed at the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
