She married Fred Tillman in 1989, and the couple had two daughters before divorcing in 2002. She was also married to Boyd Black from 1979 to 1981.
She portrayed Charlotte "Charlie" Blackwood alongside Tom Cruise's Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in the popular 1986 film Top Gun.
