Julio Correa
Poet
A twentieth-century political poet, he published works in his native Paraguay throughout the 1930s and '40s. His notable works include During the War and Mister Ulogio.
He published his first Guarani-language poems in 1926.
After his 1953 death, his home was converted into the Museum Julio Correa.
He was married to actress Georgina Martinez.
He was a longtime friend of fellow Paraguayan poet Manuel Guerrero .
