Richard Garnett
Poet
A British author, poet, librarian, and scholar, he is particularly known for his 1888 work, The Twilight of the Gods. He also published biographies of John Milton and Thomas Carlyle.
He began working for the library department of the British Museum in 1851.
He was fascinated by astrology and, to escape ridicule, published a piece on the topic under a pseudonym.
His father, Richard Garnett, was also an author.
He wrote a biography of William Blake.
