Chicago-born musician most their for being the former bassist of the pop-rock band Panic! at the Disco. In 2011, he went solo with the releases "Home Recordings" and "New Songs."
He got his start in the Chicago music scene as the bassist for the band 504Plan.
He and Panic! at the Disco won the 2006 MTV Video Music Award for Video of the Year for their video for the song "I Write Sins Not Tragedies."
He married Cassie Walker in 2011; they have a daughter named Sagan.
He and guitarist Ryan Ross both left Panic! At the Disco in 2009.
