Founded by Ronnie James Dio after his departure from Black Sabbabth. Their debut album Holy Diver went platinum in the US in 1989. The band separated after the death of Ronnie James Dio in 2010.

Trivia

Their demonic looking mascot Murray appears on many of their album covers.
