John Hessin Clarke
Supreme Court Justice
Served as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1916 to 1922.
He graduated from Western Reserve College in 1877. His name later adorned Western Reserve College's residence hall, Clarke Tower.
He advocated for the United States joining the League of Nation.
He was the son of John Clarke and Melissa Hessin.
He was nominated to the Supreme Court by Woodrow Wilson.
