He directed Bo Derek in Tarzan, the Ape Man.
He married actress Pati Behrs on October 10, 1948; Ursula Andress on February 2, 1957; Linda Evans in 1968; and finally Bo Derek on June 10, 1976.
His first wife Pati Behrs was the grandniece of Leo Tolstoy.
