Theatre actor and playwright who made his stage debut in a production of Taming of the Shrew and wrote and starred off-Broadway in Zero Hour. He has appeared on television in Kojak, Cheers, and All My Children.
He produced a fundraising show when he was only 13 years-old and four years later was working in concessions on Broadway. He would later study drama at Carnegie-Mellon University.
He made his film debut in The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight alongside Robert De Niro.
He had idolized Lucille Ball and later got to collaborate with her when she read his play The Lucky O'Leary's and thought it was perfect for her.
He appeared in the NBC sitcom Wings, which starred Tim Daly.
