Hungarian sculptor who was a celebrated artist for his many important public commissions. He sculpted two statues for the Hungarian Palace of Justice.
He apprenticed with a locksmith and then went to the school of wood-carving in Uhrovec.
His piece called Crucifix made him their throughout Hungary.
He was born into a peasant family in Hungary.
He created a statue of Maria Theresa.
