MLB pitcher who won the 2007 National League Cy Young Award with the San Diego Padres. He was selected to his first All-Star game in 2005 and led the NL in strikeouts in 2005 and 2007.
He was selected in the 15th round of the 1999 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres.
He won a World Series Championship as a member of the Boston Red Sox in 2013 and as a member of the San Francisco Giants in 2014.
He had three sons with his wife Katie.
In 2004, at 23 years old, he became the youngest pitcher since Dwight Gooden in 1985 to lead the league in earned run average.
