Henry Austin Dobson

English poet, author, and biographer known for Vignettes in Rhyme, At the Sign of the Lyre, and other works. A posthumous collection of his complete works was published in 1923.
He was the son of a civil engineer. Initially, he pursued this career himself.
His poem "Before Sedan" was transformed in 2005 into a song by the metal band Industrial Frost.
He was born in Plymouth, England. He married Frances Mary Beardmore in 1868.
Author George Eliot promoted Dobson's early literary work.
