Frances Xavier Cabrini

Italian nun also known as Mother Cabrini who founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart. The organization gave relief to Italian-American immigrants. She was notably the first American canonized by the Roman Catholic Church.
She was born prematurely and suffered from frail health her whole life.
She was made the patron saint of immigrants in 1946.
Her parents were named Stella Oldini and Agostino Cabrini, and she had ten siblings.
Elizabeth Ann Seton was another American woman sanctified by the Catholic Church.
