Felipe Esparza
Comedian
Actor and standup comedian who first rose to fame in 2010 after winning NBC's Last Comic Standing. He then wrote and produced his first one hour special, They're Not Gonna Laugh at You, for Showtime and Netflix.
He grew up in the Pico Aliso housing projects in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, where he was involved in drugs and gang activity. After a stint in rehab and struggling to make ends meet with a series of odd jobs, he began pursuing a career as a comedian.
He made several appearances on the television series Latino 101. He has a podcast called "What's Up Fool?" on the All Things Comedy network.
He has three children. He is married and also has a step-son.
In 2015, he appeared alongside Meta Golding in the film The Fix.
