Aspiring stand-up comedians compete for the chance to have their own television special as well as a cash prize. In season 8, the winner won cash as well as a talent deal with NBC.
Trivia
Presenters of the show included Jay Mohr, Anthony Clark, Bill Bellamy, Fearne Cotton, Craig Robinson, JB Smoove and Anthony Jeselnik. The show ended in 2010, and returned from May 2014 through September 2015.
