Saxophone soloist on Pink Floyd tracks like "Money" and "Shine on You Crazy Diamond," as well as on Bloodstone's album Riddle of the Sphinx. He has also worked as a session musician.
He was friends with David Gilmour, who convinced him to play for Pink Floyd.
He was part of The Who's brass section on their tour from 1979 to 1980.
He is from Kentford, Suffolk in England.
In 2009 Parry toured with the Violent Femmes, the band in which Brian Ritchie played bass.
