Jazz saxophonist best known for his work with influential bandleader Dave Brubeck. He is also the founder of the record label Not Fat Records.
He studied music at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
He wrote the multi-book instructional series "Inside Improvisation".
He has been married and has multiple children.
He sat recorded albums and sat in as a sideman for pianist and composer Dave Brubeck from 1973 to 1981.
