Antoine Bourdelle
Sculptor
Influential and prolific French sculptor, painter, and teacher. He created the bronze statue Monument La France, in 1922.
He left school when he was 13 to work as a wood carver in his father's cabinet making shop.
His studio became the Musée Bourdelle, an art museum dedicated to his work.
His parents raised him in the Montauban compound.
His work was admired by Auguste Rodin .
