Most their as a member of a Tokyo-based pop group called Sexy Zone, he also became known for his acting work in the television shows 49 (as Dan Kagami) and Hungry! (as Sasuke Okusu).
He and his Sexy Zone bandmates released their first chart-topping single, "Sexy Zone," in late 2011. Several months later, they followed this track with another #1 hit, "Lady Diamond."
He contributed to a 2012 anime production titled One Piece.
He was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan.
He and Ryo Nishikido both performed with popular Japanese boy bands managed by Tokyo's Johnny & Associates talent group.
