Classical musician who launched his first tour when he was only 13, even appearing on Ed Sullivan's weekly variety show.
He practiced the piano 10 hours each day beginning at age six.
He almost lost his right hand after a car accident, but a Melbourne plastic surgeon salvaged it. He was able to fully use it once again 18 months later.
His parents were Hanna and Izio Kogosowski.
He developed a deep love for Frederic Chopin's works, recreating the composer's final public concert, writing a biography, and producing a six-part TV series on Chopin's life and music.
