Jazz artist and composer known by his nickname Pianohooligan.
He won two of Europe's most prestigious competitions, Montreux Jazz Piano Competition and Jazz Hoeilaart.
His 2012 album featuring the music of Krzysztof Penderecki was Decca Classics' first instrumental album from Poland.
His family was residing in Kraków when he was born.
He and fellow Polish pianist Janusz Olejniczak were contemporaries.
