Afghan centre back who has become one of the most capped players in Afghanistan's history. In league play, he is best known for his time with clubs like Kabul Bank FC, Mumbai FC and FC Goa.
He was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and began his career at Shoa FC in 2005.
He led Afghanistan to its first-ever win at the AFC Challenge Cup in a victory over Turkmenistan in 2014.
His brothers are goalkeeper Shamsuddin Amiri and midfielder Zubayr Amiri.
He has played with team captain Robert Pires on FC Goa.
