Georgian center who broke into the NBA with the Orlando Magic in 2003 and played for the Atlanta Hawks from 2005 to 2013. He won NBA Championships with the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018.
He began his professional career in 1999 with the Turkish team Ulkerspor.
He reached 6'8" at the age of 13.
He and his wife Tika had two sons, Davit and Saba, and a daughter named Mariam.
He played alongside power forward/center Al Horford on the Atlanta Hawks from 2007 to 2013.
