Actress known widely for her work throughout the Colombian TV industry, and particularly in telenovelas. In 2016, she won the prestigiious TVyNovelas Award for Favorite TV Villain for her work on the series Lady, la vendedora de rosas.
She decided to officially pursue her acting career in 2004, when she moved to Bogota, Colombia. She earned her first telenovela role in 2005's La saga, negocio de familia.
In 2016, she was nominated for 2 TVyNovelas Awards for her work on the telenovela Las hermanitas Calle. She would see the series win for Best Telenovela/Series at the India Catalina Awards that same year.
Her younger sister is actress María José Vargas. She has stated that her mother was one of her chief supporters when she decided to pursue an acting career.
She has appeared alongside Carolina Gaitan on the Colombian telenovela Las hermanitas Calle.
