Born Jerold Dwight Ellis III and known to his fans as Yukmouth, this West Coast rapper is their for his hip-hop duos Luniz, with fellow rapper Numskull, and Thug Lordz, with C-Bo, as well as for his Billboard Top 40, Gold-designated album Thugged Out: The Albulation (1998).
Early in his career, he made an uncredited appearance in the 1996 film Original Gangstas. Six years later, he acted in another movie, Warrior.
He launched the record label Smoke-a-Lot Records. In 1997, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for his collaborative R&B hit "Stomp."
He was born and raised in East Oakland, California.
He and fellow rapper Daz Dillinger collaborated on several tracks, including "I'm a Boss" and "Game 4 Sale."
