Professional catcher and first baseman that signed to play for the Chicago White Sox in 2020. In 2021, he set a major league record as the first baseball player in modern MLB history to begin a season with eight consecutive hits.
Prior to playing for the White Sox, he signed as an international free agent with the Washington Nationals in March 2011.
He recorded his first major league hit on April 2, 2021 against the Los Angeles Angels. In the same game, he became the first player in franchise history to record five hits and go 5 for 5 in their first major league start.
In 2020, he married his wife, Alejandra.
He played alongside Tim Anderson and José Abreu as a member of the White Sox during the 2021 MLB season.
