He made his major league debut playing against the New York Yankees on May 19, 2015 as a member of the Nationals.
He is a native of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. He lives with his wife, Yeimy, and their two children.
He recorded his first career major league home run facing Robbie Ray.
